The Lexis

In a unique cooperative effort, nine industry leaders — Audibel, Bernafon, Micro-Tech, Nu-Ear, Omni, Oticon, Phonic Ear, Qualitone, and Starkey — are working together to promote improved communication.

Together we introduce the new Lexis™ wireless communication system. Paired with bte hearing instruments, Lexis helps overcome the obstacles of noise, distance, and reverberation and allows users to participate in challenging communication situations.

With its wireless digital beam-forming mic array, Lexis enhances speech understanding in difficult listening situations. The mic array provides superb directionality and interfaces seamlessly with today’s advanced instrumentation.

The highly directional microphone provides 8.5dB ai-di to enhance speech understanding in noise. Advanced digital signal processing enables the four directional microphones and one omni-directional microphone to filter the desired sounds, such as speech, from surrounding noise.

A hearing aid specialist can easily connect the ear-level wireless fm receiver to most manufacturer’s hearing instruments via an audio shoe. This compact module can receive sound from the Lexis transmitter, or any transmitter operating on the same frequency. Its unique independent microphone sensitivity control — adjustable within ±7dB — makes it easier to fit Lexis appropriately using the latest fm fitting protocols.
